When I was 18, I was living in Salt Lake City, Utah and was dancing at the American Bush as well as doing bachelor parties. My friend Tabitha called me one day from Los Angeles and told me that she was with an agent who could get me work doing magazines and videos in the adult industry if I was interested. They said there would be good money in it for me (of course I heard the "good money" and said YES!) So I talked with Roy Garcia from Sex Symbols Talent Management for maybe a half hour and the next day flew out to California and became Belladonna. My first scene was with Chris Cannon, and it was the very first time I ever did anal in my entire life! The movie was called Real Sex with Bill Whitrock and that was how it all started. It took me a good year to really enjoy my job the way I do now. At first, I was a little shy and didn't really know my body the way I do now. Now that I am in control of my career and life, I am so comfortable doing whatever I choose. I also have support from my husband and that is the greatest. I love to be nasty and my husband encourages me every step of the way....

The first time I ever had sex was when I was fourteen in the back of a Bronco in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was so excited and really thought I was in love and after two minutes were up, I was pissed! I thought this is what everyone was talking about. It took me awhile to get an orgasm so I helped myself out and used my finger from that point on! PornstarEmpire.com: You're pretty famous for your Prime Time Live interview. Has your life changed since talking with Diane Sawyer and the mainstream media?
Belladonna: Well, I'm more aware of what things I shouldn't do as far as the mainstream media goes.
Q: Well the mainstream has always been slanted in some respects. Meaning it's generally anti-porn. Do you feel that the program accurately portrayed your feelings at the time of the interview?
Belladonna: At the time, I was very emotional. And, you know, the interview that they showed - it wasn't a full interview. At the time, I was feeling that way, but I think they (the audience) didn't get to see a lot of things that were said. There were things that I started to say, and they didn't let me finish on air. And that's why I think a lot of people may have thought I was "bagging" on the industry, which I wasn't. I was very honest about my experience...the experience that I've had - and sometimes those are things people don't want to hear.
Q: Well, let's clarify that then. I think at some point in the interview, it looked like you were upset with being in the industry. But that's not the case now?
Belladonna: No, I wasn't upset at being in the industry. I just think I was emotional at that time in my life with a lot of personal things, and it came out in the interview. But there were things that I'd done in the industry that I had look back on and thought "I didn't really like that", but those were my choices and I don't regret them and I don't blame them on anybody.
Q: When you say there were things you really didn't like, are you talking about a particular flick?
Belladonna: I think everyone knows it's the gangbang movie. I didn't really have fun with that. I felt pressured. But then again, I was the one that told myself I was going to do the movie, so it was my choice. But I think there were some things that I should have done.
Q: And what are your feelings now? You've been in The Fashionistas, which was an award-winning flick. How was your experience on that movie as opposed to others you've been in.
Belladonna: Well, The Fashionistas was an incredible film. One - because it was shot on film; and two - because it was (directed by) John Stagliano, and he's one of my favorites in the world. I got to dance, I got to act, I got to go through some incredible experiences that I'd never been through as far as dominatrixes and stuff like that. It was my favorite film I've ever done.
Q: And what about films that you're doing for Evil Angel now?
Belladonna: I'm shooting my own series now for Evil Angel called Evil Pink, and I am continuing to do that. I'm taking my time...it's a little bit of a challenge for me as far as directing goes - I want to make sure that I'm at my "best place" in my head when I need to direct. So, I'm taking my sweet time.
Q: Can you tell us whose influence you in the way you approach filmmaking?
Belladonna: Well, I don't give Nacho all the credit, but Nacho Vidal is a lot of the reason why I am so open with my sexuality. It's always been inside me, but some people just bring it out in you and Nacho is one of those people - he brought a lot of it out. I would have to say thank you to him, because he gave me the opportunity to direct for Evil Angel by showing John Stagliano my movies.
Q: You were also in a recent Shane's World video - Campus Invasion. You performed with Boo Dilicious - what was that like?
Belladonna: It was fun. I had a blast. It was cool because you're just hanging out and there are cameras there - but you don't even think that you're doing a movie, you're just having fun.
Q: What about other things you are doing outside of performing and directing?
Belladonna: Well, I have a website. It's www.enterbelladonna.com. I do feature dancing on the road. I do a lot of store signings and appearances. But I'm only shooting for myself now as far as sex goes - I'm only shooting for Evil Angel.
Q: What's it been like meeting fans this year - especially since they probably recognize you more because of the Diane Sawyer interview?
Belladonna: It's the best part! It's the best. I mean, other than actually fucking! I have the best time when I meet people, and it's not just because they are my fans - it's because I love people. To meet people who want to watch my movies is a fucking compliment.
Q: You've changed your hair color. [During the interview Belladonna was back to being a blonde]
Belladonna: All the time. Every other month!
